The parlour
All four attractions under one roof. Each is played with the pretend coins the house lends you, each prints its own odds, and none of them has the faintest idea what tomorrow holds.
Fortune Machine
Three drums of omen symbols spin behind brass windows. Five paylines run across the rows and corner to corner; three matching symbols on a line pays that symbol’s price.
- Stake
- 2, 5 or 10 coins per line, five lines (10 to 50 coins)
- Best symbol
- Three crystal balls: 400 × the line stake
- Average return
- 92.74% of the stake
Tarot High Card
One of twenty-two made-up arcana lies face up. Say whether the next one drawn from a freshly shuffled deck will be higher or lower. The price of each guess is printed on its button before you choose.
- Stake
- 20, 50 or 100 coins
- Multipliers
- From 1.10× to 20.90×, set by the real chance
- On a tie
- Half the stake comes back
Tea Leaves
Nine cups are poured and shuffled. Pick three; when the third is chosen every cup is turned over and the leaf shapes in yours are added up.
- Stake
- 15 coins a pot
- Most from one pot
- 30 coins (comet, anchor and horseshoe)
- Average return
- 14 coins, 93.33%
Celestial Wheel
Sixteen constellations, each printed with the coins it pays. Turn the wheel; whatever sits under the pointer when it stops is exactly what you receive.
- Stake
- 30 coins a turn
- Segments
- 16, three of them paying nothing
- Average return
- 93.75%
Before you sit down
- You need to be 18 or over and to choose a nickname. That is the whole sign-up.
- If your coins run too low to play, the house quietly refills them to 250 and tells you it has done so.
- A stake that comes back to you is not a win; the games say so plainly when it happens.
- You can pause every game for a day or a week from your visiting card in the top corner.
