Cookies
The Omenator does not set any cookies, and nor does anything else on the site, because there is nothing else on the site: no analytics, no advertising, no embedded videos, no third-party scripts. That is why you don’t see a cookie banner here.
The one thing we do store
The games need to remember your nickname and coins between visits, so they keep a single entry in your browser’s local storage. Unlike a cookie, it is never sent to our server with your requests.
| Key | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|
TheOmenator/purse |
Age confirmation, nickname, coin balance, rounds played, join date, last tea-money time, any pause you set, and whether you have seen the storage note | Until you sign out or clear this site’s data |
This entry is strictly necessary for the service you ask for when you play, so it doesn’t need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. We tell you about it anyway, in a short note on your first visit.
Clearing it
- Open your visiting card from the coin counter at the top of the page and choose Sign out. Your nickname and coins are wiped; only your age confirmation and the storage note setting stay behind.
- Or clear site data for theomenator.com in your browser’s privacy settings, which removes the entry completely.
